Our Welsh Caravan Park (18th – 20th October 2019)
Despite horrendous towing conditions on the Friday, ten outfits braved the torrential rain, hail, thunder and lightning to attend the rally. We were rewarded for our perseverance as we awoke on Saturday to blue skies and the weather was kind to us for the rest of the weekend, with only the occasional shower.
As it was Quarter Final weekend of the Rugby World Cup, the days were kept free for people to watch the games or visit the local area.
Flag was held on Saturday evening and hot dogs enjoyed by all, after which a few of us intrepid explorers went in search of a local pub we’d been told about. Walking across the mountain in the dark was probably not the best of ideas but, after a couple of wrong turns, we eventually found it and boy was it worth it. A lovely old pub that looked like it hadn’t changed much since the turn of the 20th century. Great atmosphere and excellent beer!
This is a new venue for the West Wales Centre and definitely worth returning to.
Thank you to all that attended.
